What is the best period to visit and travel around Ningbo ?
This is also a popular question. Difficult to answer as the weather in Ningbo can be changing very rapidly. If this can already be the case in the major parts of the world, this is especially true for Ningbo. We already saw, for example in April, temperatures going up to 85°F and suddenly dropping down a few days later to 60°F. Still, as you can see underneath, our favorite period to enjoy visiting Ningbo and places around, is from September to the end of November. March and April can also be a nice choice though a little more risky. July is quite rainy and August is very hot over 95°F so be careful if you cannot stand very high temperatures.
How is the climate like ?
Ningbo has a sub-tropical climate. Winter is short with temperatures rarely under 32°F while spring is rather rainy. May and June are the most humid months. Summer is sunny and hot. In July and August temperatures usually stay over 90°F, often reaching 100°F with a relative humidity around 80% (in comparison: 25% in Paris). In our opinion, Autumn is probably the most pleasant period as days are still very sunny but temperatures go down a little. From mid September to the end of November, as the relative humidity also drops down, the air gets drier and the weather is then very enjoyable.
