Ningbo Train Schedules - 宁波火车时刻表

This is the latest Ningbo Train Schedules. Be aware that the Train Timetable is changing regularly and although we do our best to check it with Ningbo South Train Station, we advise you to buy your ticket 1 or 2 days in advance. In this case you won't have to worry if you arrive just on time at the station but happen to see a long queue at the ticket counter.
It is also possible to book a train ticket from another train station. There will be an additional service fee, usually 5 RMB. Normally short distance trip ticket starts selling 3-5 days before the train departs. Long distance trip ticket starts selling 10 days before the train departs.
Be aware that transportation including train becomes very busy during the 3 peak travel periods. There are the 3 weeks holidays for Spring Festival (Chinese New Year), the 1 week holiday for Labour Day (May the 1st) and 1 week for the National Day celebration (October the 1st). Our advice is that you should almost avoid traveling during these periods. Nevertheless if you wish or have to travel by train during these periods you better book in advance and get a return ticket to avoid being stuck in a far away place. Fares usually rise a bit during these periods but the main thing is that it is difficult to get a ticket. For the rest of the year, the traffic comes down to a "normal" situation and one can get a ticket without any problem.

Bullet Trains are a new generation of trains that appeared in the China railway network during the spring of 2007. The trains all have CRH, an abbreviation for China Railway High-speed, painted on their bodies. Each car of a CRH train has its own power supply system, unlike ordinary cars which are towed by a locomotive. You can find bullet trains from Shanghai to Hangzhou and of course from Hangzhou to Shanghai but also in the country's major cities, including Beijing, Wuhan, Shenyang, Changchun and Harbin. By the end of this year (2007) about 120 Chinese bullet trains should be put into service.
