Ningbo Marriott Hotel, owned by Ningbo Hai Cheng Investment & Development Co.Ltd and managed by Marriott International, Inc., staged a grand opening ceremony in which 200 guests participated including government officials, business leaders and key media representatives. Stephen Chung, Country General Manager-China Marriott International, said : "China is one of the most important markets in the world for both business and leisure travel nowadays. Marriott International is committed to expand our network here." The hotel has 333 guest rooms including 39 suites, a 720sqm ballroom, 6 meeting rooms, 3 restaurants and a lobby lounge. Other amenities include a Quan Spa, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a gift shop, a business center and more... Just arrived at the new 5 star Marriott Hotel. Note their brand new coach bus ! The reception included an opportunity to make a donation to the Marriott Hotel organized a press conference with more than 60 media representatives from all over China, including two foreign medias : HelloNingbo & Shanghai Business Review. Mr. Shi HuiFang, on behalf of Haishu District, sent his warmest congratulations to the new Marriott Hotel. Rodney Wan, Ningbo Marriott Hotel General Manager, answering a question from HelloNingbo journalist. LTD to Stephen Chung, Country GM - China of Marriott Intl then to Rodney Wan, Ningbo Marriott Hotel GM symbolizing that Marriott is now in charge of the management of this new hotel. A traditional performance of the Lion Dance was provided by a professional team from Foshan, Guangdong Province Left, Maggie Xue, Ningbo Marriott Hotel Event Manager with Kathleen, HelloNingbo. Maggie gave us the chance to visit some of the guest rooms and other facilities A Marriott exclusive is that all the 333 guest rooms and suites have a scenic river view ! Bathrooms are modern, fully equipped and with an innovative design... On the 3rd floor, a large swimming pool, a fitness center and other facilities... The Emerald Sea Chinese restaurant with 210 seats is offering dishes from Guangzhou and Shanghai. Look at this magnificent chandelier in a private dining room ! The Lounge with 80 seats. Note behind the bar, the extensive display of spirits ! Ove Nodland, Chairman & CEO of Nordic Industrial Park (NIP) came along with his wife. Ove is also Honorable Citizen of Ningbo and was the only foreign runner for the Torch relay in Ningbo Left to right : Norman Ng - GM Courtyard by Marriott Wuxi, Sammy Ng - GM Renaissance Suzhou Hotel, Rodney Wan - GM Ningbo Marriott Hotel and Gilbert Eng - GM Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel From 2005 to 2008, after 3 years of hard work, it is apparent that it was all worthwhile today. Ningbo Marriott Hotel is now like a shining pearl laying on the river bank of the Yaojiang. We wish her a great future growing along with this city !
