If you’re the kind of person that likes to travel while keeping your “home sweet home” habits or if you travel with your family and don’t want your children to sleep in a separate room, you should try Ningbo Good Sun Hotel.

Good Sun Service Apartment is located in Baizhang East Road about 10 minutes by taxi from Ningbo downtown. If you drive over there, the hotel has an underground parking for its customers. Ningbo Good Sun is specialized in renting service apartments for a night, a week, a month or even more. We rent a duplex for one night on the 6th floor of the 15 storeys high building.


On the 1st floor, a large living with sofas, wardrobes and a 29” TV.


Next is the dining section with an open kitchen and a dining table.




There’s also a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine that is equipped with a dryer. (see photo of equipment below)


On the second floor, 2 separate bedrooms each one with a double bed (width 1m50).


One had a soft mattress, the other a harder one. One bedroom had a TV and a bathroom with a shower.




The other bedroom had no TV but an internet access. In fact we couldn’t connect as we hadn’t tuned correctly our network connection. So we called the reception (at 21:30) and we immediately had a hostess coming up that helped us and succeed configuring our laptop (with Windows in English) in less than 2 minutes. We appreciate responsive service like that !
All bedrooms were equipped with air conditioners that worked all night without any problem. The huge Hitachi air conditioner in the living was a bit noisy but very efficient and with 38 degrees outside, the place was really cool !

The equipment was great. Our duplex was well equipped and offered an ironing set, a washing machine with a dryer, a microwave oven, a safe box and even a plug with 115 volts (for US customers). The TV were quite standard but worked well and we’ve been able to watch foreign channels clearly (TV5 (Fr), HBO, ESPN, National Geographic, CNN and a Hong-Kong Channel).


If you travel with your children, you will for sure appreciate the duplex with separate bedrooms as we found it gives much more privacy than a single hotel room. For example, no problem if you want to have a nap on the 2nd floor while your children play on the 1st. There is also a “Quick” shop next door that opens 24hours/day and we bought a few drinks and soups around 23:00. Very convenient !
We don’t really have things to complain about except maybe for the curtains that could be a bit thicker to stop the early morning sunshine but the overall impression was very good. The environment was quiet and we had a good stay in Ningbo Good Sun Hotel.

In conclusion, Good Sun Service Apartment is worth the money. A full flat in Ningbo for a bit more than RMB500/night is very reasonable.
We recommend the place particularly for families with children that will be able to stay all together.

Good review, and on target... also stayed there, and found the facilities and environment quite good. The service also was good... liked the restaurant/bar facilities on the first floor also... quite a popular place, with nice ambiance.
