Found a few interesting facts about this wine making it unique !
- Beaujolais Nouveau is a red wine variety produced each year in the Beaujolais region of France that is always released the third Thursday of November. - All the grapes in the Beaujolais region must be picked by hand. These are the only vineyards, along with Champagne, where hand harvesting is mandatory. - Each year, around 45 million litres of Beaujolais Nouveau is produced and about half of this is exported, some of it as far as China… Experts say : "Beaujolais Nouveau is a light, fruity red wine which is very easy to drink !" So it definitely needs to be tried !  |

OK Guys ! This is the first live report on this forum....
It's now 10:00pm or 22:00 if you prefer, I'm writing this post from the computer on the right side of the bar in Le Cargo... Yes you read well, I'm in front of a nice glass of Beaujolais Nouveau and I am enjoying the music.... Right now is a remix of Cerrone called "Supernature".. You don't know ? well Cerrone was French and was one of the first guy to launch the electronic disco style (in 1977 !) before it even caught up in the US... The atmosphere is quite cool, the night in Le Cargo at 22:00 is only starting and already about 20 customers.... I am drinking the Beaujolais and I find it quite alright. OK it might not be the wine of the century but one can drink it easily and nicely.... The glass is finally 40RMB a bit more than announced but they got the wine at 4:00 this afternoon so we can really say it's NOUVEAU (new) I just phoned a few friends and I decided to order a bottle. For RMB175 I think it's reasonable. A few more people are coming and I see familiar faces...Le Cargo has learned how to "tune" its atmosphere...I mean the music is not too loud, we can have a chat without the need of yelling... This is great... It's now 22:40 - Strange I feel a bit lighter (Beaujolais ?) - I see friends coming and we're going to share this bottle otherwise for sure I might be singing while going back home... Guys behind me are playing the table football and really enjoy it... What ? Ok people invite me to raise a toast so guys I'll see you later... |

It's now 2:00am
 and I'm back home.I think we really had a good time in Le Cargo, thanks to Damien, Jawad and also the guys behind the bar who are quite friendly especially one who didn't stop joking... It was nice meeting friends like Patrick, Pierre-Yves, Stephane, Jan, Elyse, Jean Marc with his lovely girlfriend and quite a few others guys that dropped in... But right now better go to bed... So that's all for now Folks ! |

It's now Friday 16:00 : Let's publish a few photos taken last night
 Look at this VERY cozy outside seating ! Nice atmosphere ! They are Le Cargo and Casa Maya leading team : Left is Damien who worked several years in New-York before coming to Ningbo and right is Jawad (aka Jeti) who also traveled a lot before settling down in Ningbo 6 years ago... 21:00 : LE CARGO is softly waking up and at 22:00 already 20 customers.. On the bar the Beaujolais Nouveau has just been delivered a few hours ago The playlist in LE CARGO is great ! They have good mixes of lounge, electro... It's quite various and never boring or too loud. Well Done ! These guys had good fun with the table football, free for customers... If you haven't been yet to Le CARGO, you definitely should try it ! Damien and Jawad both speak fluently French and English. The staff is friendly and can speak a bit of English too. Also quite a few regular customers who I'm sure will be happy to meet newcomers in Ningbo... So just drop there ! They have new parties almost every week !
