2007-11-03 : Zhenhai Chrysanthemum Show along the river bank.
The weather is so great at the moment, you should drop in Zhenhai for a walk along Yanjiang Xilu and the river bank. There is the annual Chrysanthemum Show that will last until the 26th of November. It's just magnificent. Adults and kids will enjoy it and it's FREE ! Have a look below at what you can expect... The annual Chrysanthemum Show is held one month from October to November the 26th The entrance from the top of Yanjiang Xilu. Note the small bridge behind... Posters of ancient paintings... Nice cottage with straw roof and porch. Lot of couples queued in the afternoon to take a picture there... When the weather is sunny like it was on the 3rd, it's just wonderful to wander around... Nice replica of the Great Wall with a great flower bed... Another colorful and magnificent flower bed... Left, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayan Ta) in Xi’an and right is a Palace Lantern (Gongdeng) used in the old time Left is a replica of the Yellow Crane Tower (Huanghe Lou) in Wuhan (Hubei Province).... and right the Prince Teng's Pavilion (Tengwang Ge) in Nanchang (Jiangxi Province) On the right the river and down a little, boats and ferries going to Beilun and Putuoshan... No electricity needed for this guy selling cotton candies. Lisa seems to enjoy... ![]() When two elephant trunks make an imaginary bridge... Quite a few vendors selling balloons, toys and food... The show is held in Zhenhai along Yanjiang Xilu (just near the river bank) |

Zhenhai is about 35mns by taxi from Ningbo Lao Waitan.

Sorry, it's late for your question. But still let you know there are bus lines 378,702 from Beilun and 341, 371, 390, 541 from Ningbo going to Zhenhai.
Hope it helps for your later trip to Zhenhai. |
