New Quiz Night in Ocean Pub on Friday Nov. 2 starting at 8pm with a free BBQ

After the success of the first Quiz Night, we've decided to do it again.

Just like last time, it's going to be a night of fun and challenging general knowledge trivia questions done in the English Pub Quiz-style.

It only costs 5 RMB to play (all cash going to the winning team) and this time there's going to be a few more fastastic prizes thrown in the pot!

Also, the bar has promised to have some great specials that night, including a FREE BBQ!!!

If it's anything like last time, there's going to be a great crowd and some fierce, but fun, competition!

- 8pm start (don't be late!)
- free barbecue
- 5 rmb to play
- teams chosen randomly
- questions will be general knowledge: history, geography, sports,
entertainment, current events, and music.

Is there anywhere to stay overnight in Beilun?

There is a nice hotel less than 5 minutes walk from Ocean Pub.
It's new and it opened this year.
It's called 2047 Inn and has the same kind of standard as Home Inn.

Although 2047 Inn can be considered economical, it is even better than some hotels having stars. Comfortable, clean and well organized.

Price starts at RMB128 for a single room and RMB158 for a standard room.

Quiz Night UPDATE!


Times

Make sure to be there early, Ocean promises to have the FREE BBQ fired up at 7 o'clock (weather premitting) and the quiz will begin at exactly 8 o'clock.


Prizes

HelloNingbo has generously donated some excellent prizes:

- 1 bottle of Caledonian-Prince Whisky (valued at 188RMB)

and

- 12 very cool little cube-shaped clocks (...you're going to want one
of these when you seen them)



As if that wasn't enough, Ocean has printed up a whole whack of limited edition "Ocean Pub Quiz Night" t-shirts. She tells me that the shirts are in all sizes (from medium to XXXL) and available in many colours. The best part is that they will be absolutely FREE for everyone playing the quiz!!!
