On Tuesday December the 1st, a conference to introduce and promote the Port of Le Havre in France, was held in Ningbo Nanyuan Hotel.
A leaders team from the Port of Le Havre came over to several cities in China including Shanghai and Ningbo. Le Havre is the second biggest French port and the fifth biggest North European port with more than 80 million tons handled. China is one of the main world partners of the Port of Le Havre regarding containers, a trade for which Le Havre is by far the leading French port with a market share of more than 75%. The commercial exchanges between the Port of Le Havre and Greater China amounted to almost 5,4 million tons of cargo (Mt) in 2008. General cargo and container traffic is basically ensured by a vast network of regular lines, since the port of Le Havre provides shippers with a highly attractive service and frequent shipping connections with 10 weekly services to China connecting directly 14 china ports. Transit time from Ningbo to Le Havre is usually 23 days. Trade between the port of Le Havre and China is likely to develop even more! At 4:00pm was held a Press Conference with quite a few medias including Ningbo newspapers, Ningbo TV and HelloNingbo's Editor in Chief, Patrick Donovan. From left to right: M.
