Hello Oviedo !

Not 683 but 638 starting from "Liuting Huayuan" which is near the South Railway Station at the crossing of Nanzhan Xi Lu and Cangsong Lu - just under the overpass Liuting Lijiao Qiao (柳汀立交桥).

If you think it's too difficult to find this place, you can also get it at the door of Dianshi Zhongxin (Ningbo TV Station).Bus 19,503,504,369 and other 20 lines can bring you there.
Bus line 638 starts in the morning at 6:20 during the summer and 6:40 during the winter. The last bus coming back from the Scene Spot is at 17:00 /16:30 (summer / winter).
The price to go to Five Dragon Pools is 4 RMB but it has 62 stops, so it's a real long way to go !

More about the place here : Wulongtan

Thumbs down NBPTD : Ningbo Public Transportation Disaster!

Thanks Kathleen. Great infos!

Let me do some reflections about...
62 stops??
Once again a proof of the poor service of the NBPT.
Always when you want looking a scenic spot (have a lot around Ningbo) it is the same story: donīt have quick buses to reach the places.
You need to stay (go and back) 3-4-5 or more hours in a bus.**
Not everybody has a car or wants to pay to about 100 rmb (ONE route) to take a taxi. This remark not only counts for foreigners (not all the laowei have the pockets full of dollars) but also for local people that wants to have a look or have a nice day in family.
Why Ningbo donīt have "Tourist-lines" like other cities?
Means LOCAL buses that have max. 10-12 stops to arrive at surounding scenic spot destinations.
They donīt need to run every 5 minutes, but these reach their goal in a respectable time.

It is not all to make a lot of advertising about these nice places.
(Internet, TV, Magazines with wonderful pictures...)
To make it possible to reach them in a decently manner is just as important.

**PS
good news guys: I heard that Ningbo will remove the bus-park with 3oo new buses...But didnīt say WHEN they will run (all).
Only wait and see...

Stayinīat home but respectfully yours,
Oviedo.
