The Chinese currency is the RenMinBi (RMB) meaning "The People's Currency". We generally use the denomination Yuan in written form, but almost always say "Kuai" in spoken daily situation. Paper money comes in six denominations - 5 jiao, 1, 2, 50 and 100 yuan.
